Percentage discount codes customers enter at checkout - created in the console, applied live against the amount.

Creating codes

Under Settings → Discount Codes, add codes with their percentage off (or pick from presets). Each code has:

  • Code - the string customers type at checkout
  • Percentage - the discount applied to the payment amount

Codes work across your saved checkouts and payment requests on shop builds.

How customers use them

  1. On the checkout, the customer enters a code in the discount field
  2. The checkout validates it and recalculates the amount live, showing the discount before payment
  3. The applied code is recorded on the transaction, so sales reporting and your webhook data reflect it

Invalid or expired codes are rejected at entry with a clear message - no silent failures at payment time.

Good to know

  • Discounts apply to the amount before tax lines and customer-paid fees
  • The platform fee is metered on the actually paid amount - you are never charged fees on discounted value the customer did not pay
  • Pair codes with custom fields for promotions tied to a campaign or audience
